Under the wave of Kanagawa

Under the wave of Kanagawa coloured by Charlie

Under the wave of Kanagawa made by (kanagawa oki nami ura)

I chose to change the blue colours to make them darker so you get the feel of a stormy day and the volcano is different as well to match the dark colours.

Tech Masks

The last two weeks for sewing tech we have been creating our own masks with our own material. My material had swimming trout on it. Although it was quite big for me they were fun to make. Hand sewing on the elastic was definitly the toughest part to put around your ears.
Here they are!

Music beats

This week our focus for cybersmart was creating our very own music! We were exploring the cool tunes and beats of soundtrap, I found it hard to find music matching the picture I chose. I chose pictures of stags roaring so I tried my best to make my music sound right! Here is mine!

Scissor power

Today in sewing tech with Anne we were preparing to go on camp to Mt Ruapehu by making fluro hats to wear on the ski field.  We make fluro hats so our teachers can see which ones we are on the mountain. We started by marking out the measurments for the hats with a warm material, then released the power of scissors. We cut out about 50 of them and then went on to the fluro colours like pink orange and yellow. We will sew the hats together next week!

Da Beats

Today With Mrs Torrie we were learning to create our own music on Incredibox! I really like my one but next time I would have more singers in it rather than beatboxers. I recomed this to people who love music and beatboxing! Have you ever used this app before You will enjoy it.

Genuis hour

Today For genuis hour, me and Blake did a piece of art work. It didn't come out quite as we thought but I am still happy with it. By following a youtube video and using a comb and masking tape we made this piece. Using only 5 colours.

Cricket

At the moment in class we are doing a decade study. We choose one area of interest, things like, sport, music or dance. I picked the evolution of cricket. To show how things have changed since cricket was first invented.
